YAY ITS THE HOLIDAYS.
and i just removed my braces (((: i love my dentist.
i havent blogged in a really long time. jodie says i should blog more since jyap was implying in my progress report that my writing sucks. so here's 5 days worth of blogging.
we went to watch troy on sunday. it was nice but it was depressing cos everyone dies [except pretty orlando bloom] its sad. and it wasnt as sick as everyone said it was. those parts were so short. and when it reached those parts nico started waving her hands around like alicia's mom. haha. and there were these parts where we found stifling our laughter especially difficult [like that close up shot of brad pitt raising his sword. -points- XD] it was nice anyway.
but when we went into the cinema there were these big burly indian men in suits sitting in our seats. and we were really confused. this guy in a suit came to us and said that "due to unexpected vip movement we have to swap your seats" so he made us sit 2 rows in front of our original seats. and then this guy came and he insisted that those were his seats. "these are MY SEATS! i want MY SEATS!" sheesh. why cant he chill. we couldnt even explain it to him cos he kept going on about how the seats were his. fine. so we got up and went back to the guy in a suit. [by then we figured that he was a representative of some bollywood star] who gave us seats in the FIRST TWO ROWS. please. i booked the tickets one day in advance. and the seats he gave us werent even consecutive. so we gave it back to him and he made us stand aside for awhile while they "sort it out". o..k..so we stood aside. while they dealt with these other people that they displaced as well. another guy was saying [really loudly]"these are MY SEATS! I PAID GOOD MONEY FOR THEM! THIS ISNT A FREE SHOW! yadda yadda yadda.." i bet everyone was thinking 'tsk! ugly singaporean!' by then the movie was gonna start really soon. the bollywood guy came back to us and gave us the same front row unconsecutive seats and said that lido would compensate us by giving us free tickets. we thought they were lido people so we went to sit in front. but not all the seats in front were occupied so we still sat in consecutive seats anyway. after the movie we tried looking behind to see if it was shah rukh kahnn or something. but no! it was amitabh bachchan. the 'father' of bollywood. but he was old and not shah rukh kahn so we were disappointed. then [of course] the bollywood people just walked out. so we went to look for the lido manager. he was really disgusted with the bollywood people and he was like "this is singapore! not india! who do they think they are?! etc etc etc.." haha. he was quite funny. and in the end he gave us free movie tickets. nice guy! then we all made a dash for the toilet. hehe.
so afterwards we went to have icecream at haagen dazs. we were still quite amused. and we added a banana to our icecream. i think we were laughing too much. then we stepped out of haagen dazs and realised that amitabh bachchan's face was all over orchard on the streetlight banner things. -.-
that day was really funny. i must thank xiaoqian since we pushed her to the management counter. aaand since she scared this weird guy who was calling me off by calling him to say "why are you calling my daughter?" hahaha. and thanks to nico for giving her that idea.
yah. so we went back and wrote a letter to the newspaper forum the next day in school. we were writing it during geog and lyap came over and took the paper away. we were so freaked cos we thought she was gonna scold us, throw it away and then we'll have to write it all over again. she asked us what it was. and when we said it was a letter to the forum she thought it was english homework. then we explained to her and she was like "wah! good good! must write in! stand up for your rights! good!" i was really shocked. mrs yap is funny!
yah. so we wrote it in and they decided to turn it into an article instead. its in the papers today! the straits times. home p.12. the article doesnt say much anyway. and apparently the bolloywood guy said that the compensation 'deal' thingo isnt off. they bought multiple free entry passes and the lido people are trying to track us down. i bet he only said that after the reporter called him.
aah. golf camp is really bad! mr ho was quite blur so he put the whole camp schedule with the consent form to the sec 1s. it includes ALL the details and surprises. and now we are so screwed! then he wrote an email to say that he was sorry and asked them to return it cos the surprises were revealed there. so all the sec1s went to look! haiyah. so now we have to come up with backup plans! hmphh. and its in less than a week. we need seniors!
and yesterday at hpps we helped ms ow yeong test all the kids who havent been tested yet. so i didnt get to see edeline. but all the kids i tested were so cute!!! and some of them were so smart. and i figured that primary boys are cuter than girls. theyre all sooo cute. hishqal, metteo and sean could read like nearly all the words. and theyre all extremely cute. and shauna took marco. who refused to look at the paper for more than half of the time. otherwise i think he could have read nearly all of them right too. hp was so fun yesterday even though we stayed back 15min or so.
i still cant believe i missed american idol last night! who ask them to show it so late. hmphh.
